Art is my breath and my nourishment; without it my soul would perish.

I believe art should make us feel good, inspire us and give us pleasure, therefore I don’t make political statements or paint the gruesome or disturbing. Some say art should evoke an emotion when viewed, I agree, but for me I believe it should be a pleasant emotion. Perhaps a sweet memory of a time, a person or a place long past. I will consider one of my paintings a success if it does that for the viewer.
