Painting is Germaine's passion, her secret garden, a place full of discovery, beauty, and joy. The immediacy of pastels' use, the tactile feeling of applying pure pigment directly and seeing a painting come to life, is exhilarating for her. She strives to capture the feeling of each place she paints, through its expression in colors, rhythms, contours and contrast. Her process is about observing, interpreting, then learning something new from what she is painting. She always enjoys the journey. Germaine's work has also been in many juried shows.
